Living at Altamarea’s Rhythm
At Altamarea, days have a different flavour. We live to the rhythm of the waves, the breath of the wind and the warmth of the sun. A very gentle rhythm, one where we do not rush, one that allows us to slow down, to rediscover the pleasure of small things, to recharge before returning to work, to school, or to our lives that are too fast and too stressful. At Altamarea, we stop and take care of ourselves.

Here, under the August sun, every moment becomes an opportunity to feel well. From early in the morning, with the soft light and the calm sea, lying on the sunbed, eyes closed, simply listening to your own breath. Then, from somewhere in the distance, an upbeat rhythm carries across the beach. It is time for aqua fitness with Francesca, known as “Francy fit” on social media, always radiant and full of energy for a session in the morning or the afternoon, on the stage or at the water’s edge, with a group of women that Francesca has managed to bring together and motivate all summer long. Exercise becomes something to look forward to, a true act of love towards your own body. Her sessions are always full, and despite the effort and the sweat, everyone ends up chatting anyway.

After the effort, the comfort. And for that, no need to worry. Altamarea has everything you need: the pool, of course, and the jacuzzi. Warm water in a small corner of bubbles and soothing jets, a dreamlike moment facing the sea. Tension melts away, fatigue disappears and worries fade. The outside world feels far away.
Close to the jacuzzi pools, the gentle aromas of essential oils drift from the centre dedicated to Ayurvedic massage: an experience that goes well beyond relaxation. The expert hands of Caterina, Nadia and Massimiliano move across the skin and immediately, muscles unwind and the mind grows lighter. Here, the conversation is about balance, energy and harmony between body and spirit.

All summer long, Shakti has organised events to explore health and make peace with the body: pulse reading, self-massage sessions, workshops on marma points, an energy activation technique, and on the metabolic fire and the importance of healthy digestion. These gatherings took place in the reading room, a quiet space with comfortable chairs, a large library for adults and children alike, surrounded by colourful flowers that make it a place of peace, nature and quiet reflection. It is no coincidence that the jacuzzi pools, the Shakti centre and the reading corner are all found together in this wellness oasis.
At Altamarea, wellbeing is not a luxury. It is the pleasure of letting go, of feeling time stand still, and of knowing that everything else can wait.
