Ferragosto.

It’s a word that needs no explanation in Italian. You say it and the mood is instantly clear. Today, at Altamarea Beach Village, this word is truly being lived.

It’s Ferragosto week.

You can see it in the blue of every open beach umbrella, in the sun loungers occupied down to the very last spot, in the colours of the swimsuits, towels, bags and inflatables.

You can see it in the children running from one end of the beach to the other. You can see it in the families settling in, calling out to one another, finding each other again. Going to the pool, dancing, playing.

At Ferragosto, Altamarea Beach Village is a beehive.

There’s something different in the air. It’s not just the heat, it’s not just the music coming from the entertainment square. It’s that collective feeling, difficult to describe but easy to sense, that today is a special day.

The beach seems bigger, perhaps because there are more people. Even the sea seems bigger, perhaps because there are more eyes looking out at it.

In the afternoon, the great ciambellata arrived at the entertainment square! A big shared moment with children, adults and staff all gathered under the same sun, eating and drinking together. A celebration, just the way Altamarea Beach Village knows how to do it!

Tomorrow, the Olympics, the show and the big Ferragosto celebration. The “One Thousand and One Nights” week is reaching its peak.

But today, even though it’s still only Friday, everything is already here: a lively beach celebrating together.
