The best summer isn’t made up of one unforgettable moment.

It’s made of countless little ones, those moments that seem ordinary while you’re living them, only to become the memories that stay with you forever.

This week at Altamarea Beach Village, we’ve shared hundreds of those little moments. Tiny pieces of happiness that brightened every day, even when the sunshine decided to hide behind the clouds.

There’s the tournament that starts out as friendly fun and somehow, inevitably, turns into a serious competition. Or the late-afternoon group dances, where some people know every step and others simply make them up as they go. Everyone joins in anyway, and that’s exactly what makes it so special.

There are also the peaceful moments of the afternoon yoga sessions. Sitting on a mat, breathing more slowly, letting your thoughts drift away. A moment entirely for yourself, ending with a carefully chosen quote from coach Rosa to reflect on. Mine was:

“To overcome others requires strength. To overcome yourself is true strength.”

Then you return to your sun lounger, and somehow everything around you feels a little different.

The Bau Beach has its own special moments too. Watching a dog run freely and happily while its owner smiles with pride, thinking, “It’s wonderful to see my best friend enjoying this holiday just as much as I am.”

There are smiles exchanged beneath an umbrella with someone who was a complete stranger only a few days before. Holiday friendships that blossom at every age, from three to ninety, and beyond. These are the little moments that stay tucked away in your memory forever: taking the time to listen, and feeling truly listened to.

And then there’s the sea.

Sometimes calm, sometimes lively, but always at the heart of every day. Some admire it from afar, others can’t stay away for more than a few minutes before diving in, while some simply sit and listen to the sound of the waves.

As evening falls, the beach transforms once again. It’s then that you realise just how much has happened throughout the day. A beautiful collection of simple moments that, together, create not only memories, but your summer itself.

And with summer only just beginning, everyone at Altamarea is ready to collect many more of these little fragments of happiness, one after another.
