Welcome to the ONLY Bau Beach in Cattolica where dogs can swim in the sea. Yes, you read that right: official swimming authorisation, because here dogs are not merely “tolerated”: they are special guests.
Swimming hours: morning from 6:00 to 7:30 and evening from 20:00 to 21:30.
Have you ever seen your dog wagging its tail under a beach umbrella, happily covered in sand? At the Altamarea Bau Beach, that happens every single day. And it happens with love, care and respect.

This pet-friendly project is also supported by the dog training centre “Io mi fido di te”. The centre’s trainers come every Friday throughout the summer to talk about dog management, education, cohabitation and many other topics.

In compliance with the health regulation of the Veterinary Public Health Department of Emilia-Romagna, access is permitted only to non-dangerous dogs that do not disturb the peace of other guests.
For our four-legged guests, we provide a shower to cool your dog down during the day, a sun lounger, water bowls and waste bags.
