Twenty chapters, five months of observing, looking closely, discussing, capturing, laughing. Unforgettable encounters and above all the discovery of a fascinating profession, the behind-the-scenes of an industry that brings a city to life and brings so much joy to people. At Altamarea, the beach is more than a job, more than a passion, it is a calling. Everything feels so natural in the way they welcome their guests, regardless of age, number or language. The same goes for colleagues and staff.

Throughout this entire season, no two days were ever the same. Boredom was simply not an option, routine never had a chance to set in. Every day is stimulating in its own way, sparking creativity and pushing you to go further. At Altamarea, you surpass yourself, for others and for yourself. And you leave feeling satisfied, grateful and happy.

Altamarea is a place of encounters. Over the years, friendships weave themselves together with guests who have been coming for decades and have watched the beach grow and evolve. But you also meet new faces who carry sunshine in their eyes and their smiles.

I met many people, to gather their impressions, to photograph them: every single one of them always responded with good humour and the genuine pleasure of conversation. The guests of the Bau Beach always opened their space to me, introducing me to their wonderful companions and sharing their thoughts on this dedicated corner of the beach. Parents always wanted me to photograph their children during the activities, and they too, all smiles, happily posed for the camera.

It is humbling to consider everything that goes into a single day at Altamarea. Now imagine a whole season. Then ten. Then twenty.
