It is just before seven, and the entire Altamarea team is already at work. The sky this morning is a little cloudy, but the colors of dawn already treat us to a dazzling display of light and shade. A gentle breeze brushes across the still-deserted beach. The holidaymakers are still asleep, probably tired after the previous night of dancing. But the lifeguards are already on the job. A quick coffee at the bar to shake off the sleep, and before my wondering eyes, a perfectly orchestrated choreography begins to unfold. Everyone knows what to do. Everyone takes their row, and the clicks of opening umbrellas ring out like a soft morning melody. One after another: click, click, click. Little by little, Altamarea is draped in a great blue veil.<\/p>\n\n\n

You sense that this scene repeats itself every day, throughout the entire summer… for a few years now for the younger ones, for decades for Altamarea’s long-standing members. Hands move quickly, expertly: the lifeguards are preparing the beach, and I, watching this spectacle, see them as the technical crew setting the stage before the arrival of the actors, the protagonists we are so eagerly waiting for. And here they come, the first ones: a lovely couple reading the newspaper side by side on a sunbed. Another couple prefers to walk along the shoreline. And then, a much-anticipated guest makes his grand entrance at the orange hut for his daily visit: Axel. A rock star? Almost. A handsome dog who comes every morning for his breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n

Meanwhile, out on the sand, there is no stopping: the Altamarea Staff t-shirts sweep across the beach. Things are washed down, grains of sand swept away, the occasional piece of litter collected, the walkways brushed clean, umbrellas that did not much appreciate the wind of recent days are stitched back together, sunbeds are straightened. At Altamarea, opening up means big tasks and also a hundred small details that might escape a distracted eye, but that make all the difference and speak to the lifeguards’ care for their beach.<\/p>\n\n\n

Already, the sky is clearing and the light begins to turn the freshly raked sand golden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early in the morning, on the still-sleeping beach, a unique atmosphere reigns: joyful laughter already rings out from a motivated and united team, smiling and welcoming. Altamarea reveals itself in its most intimate version. Around eight o’clock, the beach is ready. At the reception desk, the holidaymakers begin to arrive: French, German, Italian, families, young people, couples, some just arriving and some savoring their last day. Here at Altamarea, the welcome begins before the guests even arrive. It starts early, with attentiveness, with care and with the desire to share a beautiful summer together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so, this morning, as every morning, Altamarea wakes up in the hands of those who love it.<\/p>\n\n\n
