The light is that beautiful late afternoon light. Golden and soft, the kind that makes everything seem even more beautiful than it already is. It reflects across the calm sea. The heavy heat of the day has finally faded. Here by the water, a gentle breeze makes the air wonderfully comfortable. It’s just after 6.30 pm, and Altamarea Beach Village is beginning to change.<\/p>\n\n\n

A bark makes me turn around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A very special group has arrived. A Cavalier King Charles with the relaxed expression of someone who takes life as it comes. A Husky staring out at the sea as though planning an adventure. Two Border Collies already focused before the session has even begun. And three or four more four legged friends sniffing, greeting and quietly getting to know one another. Dogs and owners take their places, guided by the experienced instructors from the “Io mi fido di te” dog training centre, our trusted partners who look after our four legged guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone is ready. The Gym Dog session begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A peaceful moment designed to strengthen the bond between people and their dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right arm up. One, two, three. Then back down to stroke your dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some people simply stood there, gently petting their dogs in silence, exchanging the kind of knowing smiles that only dog lovers understand. Even guests without dogs stopped to watch. Perhaps because some moments are simply beautiful to witness. On the sand, with the sea only a few steps away, it all felt almost cinematic.<\/p>\n\n\n

When the exercises were over, one by one, the dogs walked into the sea alongside their owners. Bathed in the warm light of sunset, with gentle waves and an orange sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Altamarea Beach Village was one of the first beaches along the Riviera to see dogs not as a problem to manage, but as members of the family to welcome. It may seem like a small difference. But it changes everything. For the dogs, and for their families. Because it reflects genuine care for every guest and the belief that a truly complete holiday should never leave anyone behind, including those with four paws. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s Bau Beach, a fenced area where dogs can run freely without a lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s Bau Garden, a peaceful shaded space where they can relax.<\/p>\n\n\n

And every week the dog training centre returns to the beach with educational sessions, Gym Dog classes and activities designed to strengthen the relationship between dogs and their owners in such a unique setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, after Gym Dog, something truly lovely happened. The dogs and their owners walked into the sea together. The sunset glowed across the water. Small waves rolled gently onto the shore. One dog leapt straight in without a second thought. Another waited patiently for its owner so they could take that first step together. Taking your dog on holiday should never feel like a complication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be a joy. Here at Altamarea, it is. The owners know it. And I think the dogs know it too.<\/p>\n\n\n
